LLB "The End"

So as we wipe away the tears and bid a sad good-bye to LLB Challenges we must remember all the good times we have had. Well it has been a blast and I have loved playing with my Lil Lolita's and Lil Lads and I am sure we will go on enjoying them!

This is a card I have made for my husband for our 11th wedding anniversary. I had to use the sentiment "Still in Love" as I am sure there are many who thought we may not be as I used to be pretty hot-headed and yell a lot!! I have simmered with having children, found some patients but still do have the odd yell, don't we all. But all in all I think Scott and I get along better now than we did when we were first married!

This is the first time I have put two Lil's together on a card and I am loving the effect, the beauty of digital images! Lil Lad Birthday Frankie did have a top hat but that didn't really suit Scott so I just trimmed it off and how perfectly does Kellita fit with him.

A Sketch for the End

Unfortunately the time has come for the very last Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge and once again I am running late with work being hectic!! This week I wanted to go out with a bang so I whipped up a Christmas card and then decided it didn't do justice to the great Sketch Kellie has done.

I will be back later with a card for my hubbie for our anniversary which I am dying to try Birthday Frankie and Kellita on with this sketch. LLB Challenge #23, Pink Christmas or All about Sentiments

This week I am a little late with my post because I got too confused. I couldn't work out whether we were suppose to be doing a Pink Christmas card or a card the was All about Sentiments so I was waiting to see. I did have a Sentiment card done but wasn't game enough to post it. So here it is.

I love the chorus of "Smile" by Uncle Kracker so I had to use it and with those words the card had to be bright. The DP is Stampin' Up Brights DP Collection and the buttons are the matching Brights Stampin' Up buttons. The mesh is of course from Tickled Pink Stamps along with the gorgeous 60's Willow. So sorry again that this is so late but I did actually have it done in time, I promise!!! LLB Black, White + One Challenge

Wow, how the week has flown. I must admit that I have had this card done for a while (when I first got Lil Frankie) but have had to wait to now to show you. This week over at Lil Lolita Boutique we have the challenge of Black, White + One. I have kept it with Black and White as the main colours with purply blue as the plus one. I loved these colours for a male card.

Typically I didn't think to take the photo any earlier and have just taken it tonight!! Sorry about the reflection on my Acetate window. Do you recognise the sketch? It is from the Tickled Pink Monthly Challenge for this month. As soon as I saw this sketch I knew I was going to have to use a window. The spider web is from Heather Rolins Going Batty Digital Stamp set available over at Tickled Pink Stamps. The purple DP is from SU In Colour Designer Papers. The sentiment was just printed out on the computer. The Top Hat was from a button set I have had forever but it just seemed to fit this card perfectly! I hope you come and join us this week at LLB.

Hip Hip Hooray, It's Birthday Time!

Have you been keeping up with all the Birthday goodies over at Tickled Pink this month. Hasn't it been great with all the new Lil Haunts and other stamps that have been coming in. This week at Lil Lolita Boutique we are celebrating the birthday with .... well Birthday as the theme! And the best bit is we got to play with the preview of Birthday Kellita. Check her out, she is gorgeous, and best of all you can go in the draw to win her over at the Tickled Pink Blog.

This week I decided to go out of my comfort zone a bit and picked a paper that I had actually bought to do boys birthday cards with. Browns and oranges, well especially orange, is not a colour I use a lot but I loved colouring Kellita's top in the oranges. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the present doesn't stand out enough. Anyway, I tried adding all sorts of embellishments but kept coming back to the basic that you see. It just seem to fit the best with the colours. LLB Challenge #20 - A Sketch

G'day guys. It is another week over at LLB and this week we have a sketch for you by the wonderful Kellie.

To keep with the Halloween theme I have used Vampire Lilith on a spiderweb background. The spiderwebs are a clip art image. The DP is an older one, not sure what it is. The cardstock is Bazzill Bling. The sentiment is from SU, along with the tag that I have stamped it on. There is little more to say about this card but I hope you like it. On a personal front, I have been flat out so sorry for not commenting on your enteries last week. Tuesday I even put myself through going to the Melbourne Zoo with a bus load of 4 year old pre-schoolers!! It is a 3 and a half hours trip so I was not looking forward to it but it was actually a good day. There was almost as many parents as children so it was pretty cruisy!! But in amongst working and doing that from 7am-8pm I am buggered.

Halloween card for Kona Kid Krafter's

The challenge for this week over at Kona Kid Krafter's is the use the theme of Halloween or Harvest. Trin, who in 4, loved the Vampire Lilith image from the Lil Haunts range over at Tickled Pink Stamps and has coloured her in beautifully. The pumpkin and sentiment are also from Tickled Pink Stamps- Heather Rolin Digital Going Batty stamps. Messy's Mini Missions challenge for the week is also Halloween themed with Trick or Treat so we have entered this challenge as well. She has entered this card into the Barham Show so we will see how she goes.

A Card for Dad

I did this card a couple of weeks ago for my Dad, who prefer things left pretty plain. I love the new range of stamps, embossing folders and brads from Tim Holtz as they lend themselves so well to these type of cards. Pretty plain and not much else to say about it but I will make a few more of these to sell at the Murrabit Market as I think these will be well liked. Dad liked it anyway!! Have a great day.

LLB Skulls Challenge

G'day guys. Have you all checked out the new Lil Haunts over at Tickled Pink Stamps. How great are they?!?!?! This week the challenge over at LLB is to use Skulls in your creations. This fits perfectly for all of you who are making Halloween cards, however I have chosen to do a birthday card and use one of the older members of the Lil Lolita family, 50's Lilith. With the skull on her dress I thought she suited the theme perfectly.

I have used some seriously hot pink DP, sorry not sure what it is, and added some Hot pink Cardstock. The black skulls are a wheel stamp from SU which I have embossed with black embossing powder and added some black glitter. The sentiment and the white skull are from the Heather Rolin "Let it Rock" digital stamp set available from Tickled Pink Stamps, along with the black mesh ribbon. All in all I loved this card but am disappointed with the colouring job I did on Lilith. I coloured her in three times and ended up using the first one I coloured because it was the best of a bad bunch. I didn't have a copic marker that was a hot enough pink and used a Tombow marker and it just didn't blend. Anyway I hope I provided some inspiration and please join us this week at LLB for the skull challenge.

A Specsh-ial Card for M4M challenge

Wow, how long has it been since I have entered a challenge. I have been meaning to enter M4M - use a digital stamp challenge for the whole month and have noticed I only have 4 days left to enter. This is a digital image that I purchased from my lovely cousin's shop - Spesch Digital Designs, called Moon Digital Stamp. I bought this so that I could use it on a baby card and this is what I come up with.

The green DP I have had forever and I am not sure what it is. The pink DP is Junkitz - Girl Collectionz - Girl Stripes. I have used Bazzill Bling Pink cardstock for the tag and the matt. The tag is a die from SU along with the ribbon and the sentiment. I had a lot of fun colouring this card and thought that the moon needed a little extra sparkle so I have used SU Dazzling Diamond and Crystal effects to add the bling to the moon. The brad and the charm are both from Bizzy Becs. I hope you like this card as it was good fun to do. I will be entering it into the Barham Show so will see how it goes!!

Okay, okay. So I stuffed up and thought that we were changing the Lil Lolita posting times to midnight tonight, instead of last night, so now I am late!! Anyway here I am now with my card for the Lil Lolita Boutique challenge this week, which is a colour challenge, fitting in with the preview of the new Lil Lolita release of..... drum roll ....... The Lil Haunts. The colours are Purple, Black and Orange.

I had no DP paper that fitted in with the Halloween theme or the colours so I made my own. The bats in the background are from the Digital stamp set by Heather Rolin - Going Batty stamp set. The spider web edging for Ghostly Willow, sentiment and the orange Skull are also from this stamp set. This is available over at Tickled Pink Stamps, which is where the Lil Lolita's are of course from!! The brad I made with the build-a-brads from Stampin' Up by adding crystal effects to the top and sprinkling on some purple (and gold, as it is the kids glitter!!) glitter on top and then adding a little more crystal effects to the top. I must say when I saw this theme I was a little apprehensive as I have never done Halloween before but all in all I am pretty happy with the result. I have tipped the sketch up on the side and used the ever so stunning '80's Sookie!! The DP is BG Koshi and the ribbon is one I found with crepe paper sown onto it. Lil Loita Boutique Challenge - Stitching

G'day all.

This week over at Lil Lolita's Boutique we have the challenge of STITCHING - faux or real. I love an excuse to pull out the sewing machine, it helps me justify buying it 10 years ago, at least I am using it for something other than just taking up jeans!!!

I am also loving the digi Lil Lolita's and using the head shots. I have used the sketch from Friday Sketches this week and stitched every layer, as well as adding the lace trimming using the sewing machine! The DP is BG Origins, the cardstock SU Kraft and the decorative pearl is from Prima Marketing. I think I will need to add a sentiment as it sort of looks like it is missing something.

Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge #15 Buttons

G'day everybody. It has been a while since I last posted but I am back and with exciting news....... I am now part of the Design Team for Lil Lolita's Boutique Challenge. How cool is that!!! This week over at Lil Lolita we have the challenge of using BUTTONS.

I have again used this opportunity to make a Christmas card and have used Lylah as she suits the Christmas theme perfectly. I have coloured her with Copics and added plenty of Spica red and gold for that extra glitter. The DP is Cosmo Cricket vegie patch (something like that?) and I have stamped the sentiment onto the twill and layered it on lace. And last but not least.... the buttons .... they are from Stampin' Up and how cute are they?

Kellita Tickled Pink

Have been meaning to make a card for the Tickled Pink Monthly Challenge and have finally got around to it. I have used one of Tickled Pink's very own Digital Lil Lolita's - Kellita. I love these stamps in rubber but how cool is it to be able to enlarge them and use their gorgeous faces with the digital release. I have used the sketch but put it on a square card as these seem to be a lot easier to sell. The DP is BG Koshi paper which I love using for the green and purple colour scheme. The doily is from Chantelle's Etsy store, Simply Cards by Chan, and they are gorgeous! The sentiment envelope is from Bizzy Becs Digital Store. I hope you like and have a great week!!

Pink Ruffles

G'day all. A long time so see. Sorry if I haven't been visiting, seem to be struggling to find the time. I started this card over a week ago, using the gorgeous digi stamp from Spesch Designer Stamps - Princess with cake - using the sketch from last weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge and inspired by the pink cupcake photo inspiration from The Lollipop Ladies. Now both of these challenges have finished but fortunately I can still enter it into Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week of NO punches - nesties or anything. Now that was just luck that I hadn't used a single punch on this card. Mad 4 Markers monthly challenge is also pink so I think this fits perfectly. I have used R20 and R32 to colour her dress (I just realised how limited my collection of Copics is to PINK!!!). Also over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long the challenge is to do a non - Christmas card, now how easy is that!!

For this card I have used Bazzill Bling Pink Cardstock and Magnolia DP. The ribbon is Stampin' Up Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grograin Ribbon and I have just pleated it. The flower is a Prima Marketing Flower and the Pearl Stems are from Bizzy Becs.

Monster Birthday Wishes

Hi all. This is the card that I made for the same little boy that Trin made her card for. I have used a High Hopes stamp, Monster Party (I think!!). This stamp is pretty big little else fits on the card. When I started making this card I was thinking it was a Doodle Dragon Studio image (as Dustin Pike is the artist for both) and made it for the Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge last week that was Buttons, Stitching and a decorative edge. Unfortunately I couldn't enter it into that, I think that would be a little cheeky, but I did use the sketch from Cute Card Thursday. I have turned the sketch on it's side. The DP is Fancy Pants Rough and Tough by lili. Have a great day!!

A Very Special Post

Today I have a very different post. This is a card that my daughter Trinity made for her 2nd cousin. She makes quite a few cards but this one I can enter into Kona Kid Krafter's challenge this fortnight of Anything Goes. The robot is a Pink Cat Studio image and the paper is just from the stash (but cute to boot!). Trin inked the edges of the red with Walnut Stain from Tim Holtz Distress Inks and the lighter colours were inked with SU Riding Hood Red. Trin is only 4 and getting her to sit down long enough to finish a card is quite an effort. Although she loves to copy and try techniques that I do she does get bored quickly!!

Okay, so it has taken me a little while to get back to blog land to post this. I have had this image coloured for a little while and used the sketch from Friday Sketches last week. The challenge at Kenny K's Crafty Girlz Challenge this week is Bright and Bold. I have had this paper for a little while from BoBunny and I love the bright colours so had to use it for this card. I have made this card to sell so I kept it pretty plain and flat but I think it is still pretty effective.

LOTV cuties for CSAYL

Finally back on here, has been a busy week. Spent 4 days at my sister's farm north of Cobar over the weekend period. I thought Moulamein was remote, but it has nothing on Coolabah!! Anyway to my cards. I started these cards a couple of weeks ago and used the sketch from CSAYL, unfortunately it seems to have taken me forever to finish colouring these little cuties from LOTV (gotta love the christmas stamps!!). When CSAYL had the challenge this week of 2 or more DP's I thought great at least I can still enter them in. The papers are all last years (or maybe even older!!) and I have kept them pretty simple so that they are cheap to post with the hugh amount of cards that I seem to post at that time of year. I have added a little flowersoft to all the fluffy bits on the image. And that is about it!! Will be back later with another card.

Pirates!!!

Over at EAC last week the challenge was Pirates. When I first saw this I thought "Ripper, I have two young boys cards to make, this suits perfectly!" And what do you know it has taken me the whole week to get it done. The two images are from Doodle Dragon Studio by Dustin Pike and are from the Pirate collection. I love this collection as it has so many bits and pieces, backgrounds and pirates and added extras you could use as embellishments. The DP I am unsure of but check out the little charm. Isn't it just perfect? It came from Stampin' Stuff but there isn't any left!! I have used the sketch from Friday Sketches this week. The sentiment is from High Hope Stamps, which is also available from Stampin' Stuff. Have a good week as I am sure it will be another week before I am back!!

WOJ for a 50th

I have made this card for a friend of the family that has recently turned 50. Over at Cute Card Thursday Challenge it is Whateva so I thought this fit ;) I have used a sketch from Hanna and Friends Challenge a couple of weeks ago. The stamp is a WOJ stamp. I have embossed the 50 and the scroll in the top right hand corner with Embossing Tinsel. I think the flocked paper is from Christina Re. I liked how simple this card was but also how effective.

60's Ivy for my Auntie

I must admit I have had this card done for a while, and sent to my Auntie. I just keep forgetting to post it. I have done this card for the Tickled Pink Monthly Challenge using the sketch that is to be followed. I inked up my 60's Mod Ivy from the new Lil Lolita range and coloured her in using my copics. I have used BG Koshi DP and some pink lace that I had in the stash. The flowers are punched out with my EK Sucess flower punches and I have added a little Spica Red around the edges. The pink heart doily is from Bizzy Becs.

I think that I need to reduce the size of my cards (6"x6") when I am using my Lil Lolita's as they are so slim, the cards need to be thinner and slimmer too. There seems to be too much bare space on this card.

Mo's 1st Birthday Girl for Mia

One of our good friends little girl is turning 1 this week and I find it hard to go past this image from Mo Manning for 1st birthdays. I have used the sketch from Stamp with Fun this week and have chosen bright coloured papers to fit with the happy theme at Crafty Creations Challenge and the Cute theme at Papertake Weekly. I had fun with this card and added plenty of Diamond Stickles, on the flowers and the number 1.

Kenny K's Soccer Boy

Have been buying some Kenny K images which I love and love colouring them in too. My BIL's birthday is coming up and he is an avid soccer fan so I couldn't go past this image. He is Greek so I have assumed he followed Greece in the world cup so I have gone with the blue colouring, which is not quite as dark as it should be and the shorts should have been blue to but anyhooo!! The sketch that I have followed is from the Kenny K Krafty Girlz Challenge, I have just flipped it and left out the frills and flowers ;)

If you are wondering what the soccer ball is from, and some of you are thinking it looks familiar, it is from a Kinder Surprise. See even all those annoying little toys can come in handy sometimes. Everybody Art Challenge has the theme of blue and white this week so I will enter this card into that also.

Wow, how excited was I when I was asked to be a Guest Designer this week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. The challenge for this week is to use Bows and Buttons, which is simple enough as we all seem to use these at some time or other. The challenge is sponsored by Sassy Cheryl's

and as you can see I have used one of her Christmas images, Ruldoph's Nose. This was great fun to colour and I could just imagine poor old Santa and Rudolph hitting the Australian Summer at Christmas and feeling like they were melting. Queens Cutie turns 18

Have been noticing Kenny K images popping up all over the place and had to get me some, or 4 ;) This one is called Queens Cutie and I have used her for a friend's daughter's 18th birthday card. I have used BG Koshi DP and the paper flower, leaves and pearls came from Bizzy Becs. My daughter, who is 4, helped me with the embellishments on the card, hence the sparkling pink flowers, but they all seem to tie in well with this paper. I have used the sketch from MoJo Monday Sketches and will enter this card into their challenge.

After discovering Dustin Pike's images with High Hope Stamps I have also discovered that he sells digital stamps too over at Doodle Dragon Studios. So I have purchased myself a few different sets and this is what I have come up with. The images are from the Pirate 10 collection which is a great collection with 3 different pirate images and plenty of backgrounds and extras. The paper is SU Urban Garden, the cardstock SU Baja Breeze and the ribbons from the stash. Doodle Dragon Studios also have a challenge blog which has a sketch up for this fortnight that I have followed, well sort of, so I will enter this card into it.

Lylah ATC for M4M

I was having so much fun colouring Lylah that I just kept going!! So unfortunately this ATC isn't very original, looking very much like my bookmark, except that I have coloured her eyes brown and given her a little blue eyeshadow. When this challenge first came up over at M4M I was a little unsure of what was expected. What do you put on the back of an ATC? Thankfully Tracey showed the back of hers so then I was set to go.

I will endeavour to get another one done in the next couple of days but that could be wishing as we are away for the weekend and the in laws are coming up tonight!!

A Blue Lylah

Good morning all. It seems like forever since I posted anything but it has been because I have been busy making cards to sell with my sister and mother which are now posted on a separate blog MD Squared.

The above card I have made for my sister-in-law and I have used the sketch from Tickled Pinks Monthly Challenge last month. I have just changed this post as I just got the bookmark done too that was required for the challenge. I have made it blue so that it fits in the challenge over at Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge. The image used is Lylah. The papers are October Afternoon Thrift Shop and the card is SU Kraft Cardstock. I have added the edges of doilies which I inked blue along the edges. The lace was from the stash. The sentiment is stamped on a paper tag that I bought from the local newsagents and everything has been inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain, I am loving it at the moment. The hat pin is from Bizzy Becs. I coloured the image in with my copics and added a little sparkle with my Spica pens.

I loved this sketch so much that I have used it to make an ATC in the same theme that I will show you a little later.

Wow, I just noticed that this is my 100th post!! That's pretty cool, pity it is such a plain card.

Okay onto the card. I have joined in this week with Stampavie and More's Challenge of Sparkling. I have used this opportunity to make a male 18th birthday card - with Sparkles!! I have kept the card very plain using SU Riding Hood Red Cardstock for the card and Kaisercraft DP which I distressed around the edges and inked black. I have used the SU Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel and embossed it with my Red Ranger Embossing Tinsel and done the same on the chipboard 18. And that is pretty much all there is to it.

Second post and another Friday Sketches

Okay, okay I loved the sketch from Friday Sketches this week so much that I have used it again for yet another male 30's card that I needed to do. This card is for a good friend who was 30 in the middle of June but is having a big bash next weekend. I love this image from Lilly of the Valley and could just imagine him swinging on a rope over the Mighty Murray River as a youngster. I have coloured the image with Copic Markers and inked all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain. The paper is from Delicious Papercrafting, October Afternoon Fly a Kite Paper Pack (I think!!), except for the blue which is SU Urban Garden. The card mounts are SU Close to Cocoa and the card is SU Kraft cardstock. The 30 has also been sponged with the Walnut Stain. The leaves are cut with a Sizzix die and the buttons were from the local material shop.

Overall a plain card but I think it is pretty effective!

Handy Dragon Mitch

A mate of my husband, Mitch, turns 30 this weekend. He is a builder so I thought High Hopes Handy Dragon and the HH Tool Set were the perfect images for a card for him. I have coloured the tools and Dragon in with Copic Markers and then I have gone over the tools with SU Crystal Effects. I have used SU Urban Garden DP, with SU Kiwi Kiss cardstock for the card and SU Baja Breeze Cardstock for the embossed card and the mounts. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Happy Birthday. I have used SU Baja Breeze ink to highlight the embossing and Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain for the edge of the card and sponged on the chipboard 30. The layout is from Friday Sketches challenge this week.

A Wedding Dance

My Cousin is getting married in the next few weeks. So I have taken the opportunity to ink up this image I bought from Mo Manning quite a while ago now. The layout is from Papertake Weekly Challenge and the DP is SU Bella Rose. I have used the overlocking stitch on my sowing machine to do the borders. The sentiment is from TGF Wedding set and I have inked the edges with SU Riding Hood Red. The brads, hearts and mesh where from the stash. The challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge is Anything Goes so I am pretty sure this will pass!! I know my cards are getting plainer but they are easier to post that way!

New Baby Girl

A good friend has just had a baby girl, her second child and this card I made for her. The image is a WOJ Elizabeth Bell image which I love for just this occasion. I have used SU Candy Lane DP and distressed all the edges. I used a SB nestie for the centre and the sentiment. The sentiment was a rubon. The bottom lacing is a Martha Stewart Punch. The centre of the card had another digital stamp, that I am not sure where it came from, layered on a doily. I also used a lot of SU Riding Hood Red ink for the edges.

I have been on a bit of a spending spree at Stampin Stuff and bought myself a whole lot of High Hopes stamps for the male cards we have to make. Today I am showing you the HH Chuck stamp in the Space range and the Space Scape. I have made these cards nice and simple for selling so there is little to them other than paper from the stash and a couple of great stamps!! The sentiments where just printed off my computer. High Hopes Stamps have the challenge of Anything Goes so I will enter these two cards into that.

My step niece is turning 9 on the weekend so I have made up a very girly girl card using the sketch from Cute Card Thursday this week. I have done my best to keep it postable (with one postage stamp!!) by adding only ribbon and a chipboard glitter flower with a brad. The pink papers were all from the stash. The sentiment and frame is SU Vintage Labels in SU Mambo Melon ink. The image is from Stampavie - Gillian F Roberts - Being Together.

One for the Boys

After telling you that we needed to make male cards I was pretty excited to see Creative Inspirations had the challenge for the week as One for the Boys. I had just received my High Hopes stamps and set to work with the Tractor. I love this image as it can be for anyone and it would suit retirement cards as well (the tractor looks like it has been set at in the long paddock). I kept the card nice and simple as the feed back from the women selling our cards was to keep it simple and avoid using images of people. I can tell you that this is not going to stop me from using my images of people but I guess for the few we sell her I will have to avoid them. High Hopes Stamps also have the challenge of Anything Goes so I will enter this card into that also.

Puppy love for Just Magnolia

Two posts in one day!! This is a card I have done for my GREAT GREAT Auntie. Unfortunately I have just found out she has been moved to a nursing home in Wagga and none of the family can tell me which one, so after this I have some detective work to do. Okay enough rambling. I have used the sketch from Just Magnolia this week for this card and the DP is Magnolia too. This card came together so quickly!! Roses were necessary due to the DP used and the pink ribbon is SU Melon Mambo. The sentiment is SU Vintage Labels. I loved this Magnolia Dog and tried the water colouring with SU Pastels on him and love the result.

Fathom Calmsea a little washed out!!

As I have said earlier I have been playing around with SU Pastels to colour some of my images. I won this Sweet November Mermaid Fathom Calmsea from Tickled Pink stamps and couldn't wait to try her out so I stamped her with Black Stazon on watercoloured paper and pasteled her in. I loved the effect and added a little Spica Gold for the starfish and Spica Blue for the eyes. I have then laid her out on red and blue papers from Kaisercraft and BoBunny and unfortunately I think the end result has left her a little washed out!! I will definitely be using this stamp again but unfortunately this time I think I have done her little justice. The sketch I used was from Friday Sketches.

Twins

We (my mother, sister and I) have been busy organising to sell our cards to a local card store. Unfortunately for me the cards they want are male, male and more male cards!?!?! I am going to have to pack away tizz for a little while and make plainer, flatter cards. Twins was one of the cards that they require so to make it applicable for either sex I have gone with a green and purple theme. The Quickcuts die was used for the clothes and the papers where out of the stash. The sentiment is a rub on and I have used my Swiss dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. This card looks very plain to me but will hopefully make it more saleable. We will see how it goes!! I am entering this card into the Creative Inspirations Challenge for the week of Babies.

Lylah all Girlie Girl

G'day all. Over at Tickled Pink Stamps this week the challenge is to make your creation girlie girl. Well I thought this required using my new Magnolia Fairy Tale DP and went with an all PINK theme. The sketch was an old one from Mojo Monday challenge. Stampavie and more also have the challenge of using dots this week, so I think the dotty ribbon and dark pink dotty DP takes care of that.

This card all came together very quickly. I have used Bling Bazzill Cardstock, Heidi Swapp acetate flowers and SU Melon Mambo Ribbon. The sentiment and medallion are SU stamps. My daughter loved this card, she said to me "Mum that is so cute, why can't I make a card that good?". I smiled, pretty impressed with that and told her that her cards are just as good, which they are pretty good for a 4year old!!

Fun in the Sun

Here is the first real boy card I have done in ages!! Stampavie and more, and Everybody Art Challenge both have the challenge of Summer this week and Creative Inspiration's challenge was a Beach theme. So I have pulled out as image Tracey stamped for me of Surfing Edwin and coloured him up. This is a great image for the guys!! I used the round sketch from Mojo Monday Challenge last week as it just seemed to fit the theme. The light cloud DP is a Magnolia DP and the rest of the supplies were from the stash (which it growing huge!!!). The shell image is from Kraftin' Kimmie Florence bonus image, which you can get from Tickled Pink Stamps.

Now we just have to wait 6months for our Summer!!!

Noble Flowers

MDU Challenge for the week is to use Flowers. How simple is that!! I have made this card for my mother in laws birthday at the end of the month. I have really piled on the flowers by adding all the little roses around the large rose, layering them on a white paper daisy which I have added a little Spica Twinkle like stars - red - to. The DP paper is BG Porcelain Windermere which I love but have struggled to match it to any other paper I have so I have made my own DP paper using Glimmer Mist (Candy Apply Red) and the bird cage from the SU set Happy Moments, which I have embossed in black. I have used Noble Tilda from the Raising the Ceiling range and added a little Spica to her shoes and earrings. The sentiment is from Bizzy Becs Digital Store, the Vintage tags, and the doily is from Bizzy Becs store.

I hope you like the card and that you are having a great weekend. It is hard to believe it is June already. I keep telling myself I have to start making Christmas cards but there seems to be so many birthdays!!

Daisy making a scene!!

As I said the other day I have been playing around with making my own backgrounds. I now have my starter kit from Stampin' Up and have been busy playing around. The stamp in the background is SU Lovely as a Tree which I have stamped in brown on SU Watercolour card and I have tested out the SU Pastels with the SU Blender Pen. I was pretty happy with the result.

I already had Sugar Nellie's stamp, Daisy, coloured and she seemed to fit perfectly. The paper is BG Kioshi and the sentiment is the Vintage Labels from Bizzy Bec's Digital Store. I have just spent an hour trying to find a challenge to enter this into but couldn't find one, so it is a just because I felt like it card.

Tickled Pink with Willow

This is my lovely Willow stamp from the Lil Lolita range at Tickled Pink Stamps. I am being a bit cheeky and entering this card into the Tickled Pink monthly challenge and the Tickled Pink Weekly challenge of using Ribbons. I have used SU Cottage Wall DP and the ribbon is SU Rich Razzleberry. It is funny that while I was doing this card I thought I was going a little overboard with the two bows but now I look at the card I think it's missing something. I did just realise that I have missed out the sentiment that was on Kellie's sketch, I hope that's okay.

Bonnie for a Special Girl

Hi, I am back again but a little hamstrung as my E00 Copic marker has run out of ink!!!! I have ordered another but I have been playing with darker skin but not liking it much at the moment. Luckily I had this image already coloured. I have used the sketch from Friday Sketches for the week and my new paper from Delicious Papercrafting, BG Kioshi Paper Pad.

I love this little Bonnie image from Spesch Digital Images so I am entering her into Crafty Creations Challenge of using your favourite stamp. Stampavie and more's challenge for the past week of Happy Birthday for a Girl so I think this fits.

On another front a have joined the Stampin' Up team, which I am pretty excited about. I love all the images of the girls I have but have been wanting to get into creating more of my own background images which Stampin' Up stamps will be good at.

Friday Sketches feathered!

The challenge down at Mad for Markers is to use the feathering technique. I had to try it out and have down numerous butterflies for a scrapbooking page and used it for this WOJ City Girl's dress. How effective is it!!!! I know I'll be using this technique again and again. The paper was from a Basic Grey mini deck and the hat pins I made myself out of the huge amount of beads I have left over from my jewelery making days. The things we try!!

I have used the sketch from Friday Sketches challenge for the week. This card is for my sister - who does like to PARTY. It is a bit harder for her these days with 4 children!!

Tilda the shepherd

The challenge for this week at Magnolia Down Down Under is to use Black, White/Cream and one other colour. I have chosen to use Tilda the Shepherd and to use red as the extra colour. Christmas Stampin' all Year Long has the challenge of Paper Piecing which I have used for Tilda's dress.

I must say I like the finished result of the card, EXCEPT for the colouring. I am hopeless when it comes to using black. I don't mind her hair but the shoes look terrible!! I haven't put a sentiment on the card yet as I think it could be used for a few different things. Every time I look at it I start sing Psalm 23 but I think most people associate this with funerals so I didn't add that. What do you think?

Pulling out the old Penny Black

It seems like such a long time since I have used my Penny Black stamps and I forgot how versatile they are!! Great for girls and guys cards, dress them up or dress them down. My brother in laws birthday is next week so I have pulled out one of the Penny Black mice.

The challenge for this week at Stamp with Fun is Stripes, which suits guys cards perfectly and I have used the sketch for MoJoMonday's challenge. The papers are from the Thift Shop DP pad from October Afternoon (which I got from Delicious Papercrafting), other than the sentiment paper which was in my scrap stash. Other than that the card is pretty plain but I think pretty effective, don't you???!!

I have made this card for my niece, Penny, for her 1st birthday. The paper I have used was from the scrap stash so I don't know what it is, but it is old. The image is TGF Amelia - Happy Day. The paper was pretty busy so I haven't used a lot of embellishment.

Hi, I hope this finds you all well. This card was done using the WOJ sketch for last week but once again it has taken me toooo long to finish a card. I have been wanting to use my WOJ City Girls for a while so pulled this one out and inked her up for the first time. With this image I thought it needed plenty of bling so I have pulled out some of my Heidi Swapp bling frames and cut them all apart. Only having used a few small rose buds this would have to be my most flowerless card in a long time!!

I will enter this card into the Stampavie and More Pink Challenge for this week and the Papertake Weekly Challenge of Shiny, Sparkly and Special.

My Nanna always used to always say she was as Mad as a Hatter so when this image came up I had to get it to use for her. I have made this card pretty plain but like it. Gorjuss sketch

Wow it is two weeks since I posted a card!! I have made a couple of cards inbetween but just haven't had a chance to post them. This card I have made for the Totally Gorjuss challenge to use a Gorjuss girl and I have used the Stamp with Fun sketch for the week. I have had this Gorjuss girl coloured for a while. The dress of the girl and bear and the tights are all paper pieced. The paper used is Kaisercraft Airy Fairy.

When I finished this card I thought it looked pretty plain so I pulled out the Kindy Glitz and added borders around the papers and flowers and I think it finished it off pretty well.

I hope everyone is going well. This will be a quick post as I am getting ready to head up to my sister's property at Cobar, which is 8hours away from here, and with 4 girls!!

I have made this card for my cousin who is turning 50 at the end of the month. I saw that Crafty Creations Challenge last week was Paper piecing and I have wanted to try this for a while so I have used my Dining Tilda and had great fun with this. Friday Sketches had a great sketch this week to and the card just all seem to come together. I will also enter this into MDUC - Olden Days although techniquly I haven't used a black and white image, I hope that is okay. The paper I used is Cosmo Cricket Flueriste Primrose and the lace is Christina Re Chantilly Lace Tape.

JM Fold It!!

Finished this card yesterday and took the photos today to enter this into the Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge of Fold It and Magnolia Down Under Challenge of Thank You. And can you believe the MDUC has already closed and the winners been picked and Just Magnolia's challenge is closed too. That is sooo typical of me. With a folding card I thought I would try a smaller card which seem to leave little room for embellishments.

Not overly happy with this card as it seems very plain to me. I have used Basic Grey Lemonade DP, some cherry blossoms my dear cousin Tracey gave me, some great pins that Bec from Bizzy Becs makes and the ribbons are from the stash. I had great supplies but did little justice to them. I was happy with how my new Diary Tilda turned out though, I like the extra colouring in the background. Let me know what you think. I did it with ink and SU daubers, is there a better way to do it??

The New Anya Ink

Anya Ink has undergone some changes with Kristy Young now taking over and a new design team. The first challenge set is Anything Goes. I have had this Stampin' Up paper for a while and thought I would have a go at distressing it. It was great as it was the printed cardstock paper. Have had this image of Hope and Grace for a while and thought she would match the colours and must admit I am pretty happy with how it worked out.

Anyone for Anya's challenge for the week was also Anything Goes so I have entered this into it as well. I also used the Stamp with Fun recipes for the week of 3 paper, 3 flowers and 2 buttons. I tried to make this card a little flatter than my normal so that it is easier the post!!

I have been playing around with watercolouring with Stampin' Up markers and the watercolour brushes. I have stamped numerous images of the Stampin' Up presents and then watercoloured them for the background. I was quite disappointed with the result but went on with the card and after adding WOJ Henry with the Cupcake to the card I actually really like the end product. What do you think? I am entering this into the Crafty Creations Challenge for this week of Anything Goes.

The sentiment 'Sweet Birthday Wishes' is from Bizzy Becs but I added a little too much Dazzling Diamonds. Can you believe it is possible to have too much bling.

Embossing branches

Hi, I know 2 posts in one day!! I have finally got my computer back so it is easier for me to get my pictures onto my posts! This card is for the Anya Ink challenge for the week of using Embossing. I have finally pulled out my Owl from the Forest Friends kit and it went just perfectly with this KaiserCraft paper. This card is for my brother-in-law, who is the only one in the family that is older than me (only by 1 year but still) so the Wise Old Owl is a bit of a dig.

The embossing is done with my Cuttlebug Forest branches embossing folder. I have added a Glass finish on the owls eyes to make them look a little more real.

Celebrating baby Lillie

Hi peoples, I hope everybody is having a great day. Here we have a perfect Spring day (even though it is Autumn), with a beautiful clear morning and a promise of high 20oC for the day.

Two weeks ago my sister had a little baby girl (her fourth!!) - Lillie. I wanted to make a card especially for her and wanted to use baby Tilda. The challenge from Magnolia Down Under this week is to use 3 papers, 3 flowers, 2 buttons and a bow. Now my sister isn't into anything too tizzy and pretty so I thought I better tone it done a bit and was unsure that I would be able to do that with the receipe but when I finished I was surprised at how untizzy (and almost bare!!).

Spring for my little girl

This is a card that I have made for my little girl who is turning 2 on Wednesday. We are having a BBQ for her birthday tomorrow for lunch so I had to have the card done by then! I have used the sketch from Everybody Art challenge and the theme is Spring, which fits the Stampavie and More and the Get Sketchy challenges for this week.

I have used my new Imaginisce Lucy Bird paper which is just perfect for Spring and my Prima butterfly vines. Just before I went on holidays I got my package of new stamps from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, this is the first chance I have had to use them! This little girl is Spunkette and she is so cute!! I had a lot of fun with this card, using flowersoft for the flower center, Twinkling H2O on Spunkette's skirt and Stickles on the wings.

Hi, I am back again. Well hopefully this loads up okay. I was a bit crook before I went on holidays so didn't do much crafting and ever since I have been back my computer has been in at the doctors being fixed, well I hope. I have resorted to using my husbands work laptop which is a bit of a dinosaur!!

I have been busily making cards for birthdays that I have coming up. This card is for my Mother for her birthday on Saturday. Back to my old ways of posting for challenges at the last minute!! I have had this card on the go for a couple of days now but have not been feeling well with chest pains and fatigue, it sounds worse than it is, but has me in a bit of an "I can't be bothered mood".

I wanted this card to be perfect too as it is my husbands birthday card. He is a keen fisherman so I had to use this cute image of Ian from the Rock the Farm set. The DT paper is from the BG Origins mini pad and the sentiment is from Bizzy Becs Digital Store. The ribbon is from my stash and the swivel and fishing line is from hubbies stash. I had a lot of fun doing this card once I got down to doing it!!

Have had this image, Gorguss A Little Birdie told me, coloured for days and thought I better do something with it. I had the Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue mini pad and the colours went just perfectly. Magnolia Down Under have gone to weekly challenges, whoo hoo!! The challenge for this week is to follow the sketch below and make it girly with orange. I love orange and it is such a summer colour so I had to use Beach Tilda with the Bathing Ring that my dear cousin Trace had stamped for me. What a great image!!

The girliness on the card, I hope is obvious, with the pearls and flowers and the paper lace done with my new Martha Stewart Double Loop border and corner punch set. And well, .... I went all out orange with Momento - Orange Blossom DP, orange card and orange rose. The Warm Wishes ticket sentiment is from Bizzy Becs Digital Store.

And did you see, I got into the Top 3 at Anya Ink last week and will be the weeks guest designer in a fortnight. How cool is that!!! Well I'm excited anyway as I haven't been doing this very long and have only had my Copics for a month.

I always struggle to do cards for the birth of boys as I still want to put flowers on to celebrate the new life. I entered the Mojo Monday sketch challenge with my last card as the square sketch but was dying to try the circle sketch so here it is. I have used my new DP paper from October Afternoon - Farm Fresh Root Cellar and one of my Sarah Kay Stamps. I must admit I have been too scared to try colouring her images in with the Copics but thought I would bite the bullet and have a go. I have discovered the colourless blender and have found this opens the options up so much with the few colours that I have and the new card I have from Papertrey Ink is able to cope with the extra ink!! The sentiment is from Bizzy Becs Digital Store, check them out, they are so versatile!!

I had a lot of fun with this card and I hope you can tell. I will enter this into the Cute Card Thursday challenge of Flowers.

He Loves me ...... He Loves me not (only joking)!!

When I saw Magnolia Down Under's Challenge for the fortnight of a Valentine's Day card, and Stampavie & More's Challenge for this week, I couldn't wait to get my new Loves me Tilda from Bizzy Becs store. I also had ordered the new Sugar Rush mini pad from Basic Grey and got that all in time to make the above card. The red lace also came from Magnolia Down Under Store and the hearts were from the stash. The sentiment is just printed on the computer.

The layout is this weeks layout from Mojo Mondays Challenge and it could be done as a square or a circle.

Overall the card didn't work our quite like I imagined but I think a guy would still appreciate it, at least I hope so!!

Anya Ink and Anyone For Anya Valentine

Anya Ink's challenge for the week is to use NO Printed Paper paper. Luck for me I just received my new Cuttlebug Embossing folder Kimmy Loves and my new Martha Steward Border and Corner Double loop Punch set so I set to work using them straight way. I took my layout inspiration from Saturday sketch over at Club Anya and Friends, I just loved the big heart and had to add it to my card. Anyone for Anya? challenge for the week is Heart for Heart's sake so I thought this card would have to qualify. My husband even said he liked this card, which is unlike him so I will have to stash it away for his Valentine's card!!

This is a record for me, actually posting a card for Anya Ink before Friday, hehehe!!

Just Magnolia Sketch

Hi, all. Now I have been given some tips on where to write on an easel card I think I might be stuck making them all the time too!

The challenge at Just Magnolia this week was to use this sketch by Jay Jay.

I have been dying to use my Magnolia's but I only have 4 (with 5 more ordered!) and hadn't found a challenge to use them on but this sketch, of course, leaves it open. I have used my Kitchen Tilda along with Magnolia Lazy Summer Strawberry and Strawberry Line DP. The stamp, paper and lace are all from Magnolia Down Under. Pearls just seemed the perfect embellishment for these papers. As I only have 40 Copics none of them seem to be light enough so I have used my pencils again on this.

Now that I have taken this photo I have finally realised what is missing on this card. A charm! It needs a strawberry charm coming down from the flowers, I can fix this but don't have the charm at the moment. Then I started to have ridiculous thoughts of buying a Pandora charm and hanging it down from the flower as the birthday present!!

Today is my first EASEL card, WOW. It was so easy to make, but excuse my stupidity, where do I write the long winded messages I normally write in cards?!? I have made this card using the Sketch this week from the Everybody - Art - Challenge.

I started off making this into a Valentine's Day card but by the time I finished decided it would be better off as a Thank you card. The image is WOJ Dreamy Willow with flowers image from Bizzy Becs, the roses are from IamRoses, the DP paper is Bo Bunny Firty Flowers and Flirty Birds, and the rest is from the stash.

Anya Ink #14... Dear me!!

Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenges for this month is to NOT use a stamped image. This got me thinking about the fact that I never use to use images of people on my cards but wondered if I could do it. I went through my drawer of stamps and found this Forest Friends kit from The Greeting Farm and thought I will give the Dear a go as it had not been used yet. So I set about making a card with the Anya Ink challenge of Flowers and using the Dear.

I used the MojoMonday Sketch#121 and the DP is My Little Shoebox - My Neighbourhood - Prince lane, both sides. The jewel is a Prima Marketing jewel. I have left the inside for the moment as I thought the sentiment on the outside 'Dear me!' left it open to be used for a few different purposes.

Birthday Boy

Part of my new year's resolution was to make more birthday cards for males (along with lose weight and find a better balance between card making, kids, housework and work - all the usual). At least I am starting out on the right foot, I think, with this being my third male card for the year.

The image is a digital download from The Greeting Farm called Birthday Boy Ian. I have gone around the image in my own handwriting (OMG!) and written Happy Birthday to You, which is so like what I do with my journaling in Scrapbooking. The papers are from Junkitz Collectionz Paperz, Boys Collectionz - Boy stars and Boy plaid and I just love these papers. The brads are Build-A-Brad from Stampin' Up and I have punched out a star and put in each. The red star came from Magnolia Down Under prior to Christmas, I don't think Kellie has them anymore, pity!!

I am entering this card into: Stampavie's Challenge #74 Boy Birthday Card and I used the sketch for this weeks challenge at Stamp With Fun.

WOJ #62 Willow's new boy

Hi all. I am enjoying a beautiful afternoon here in Barham, Australia. I am posting this post sitting on our back deck enjoying a 28oC arvo with a cool breeze. Anyhow, back to the card. A school friend of my husband, who was also a groomsmen in our wedding party, had a baby boy on New Years Eve, amazingly within 12hours of his brother also having a baby boy.

I have made this card for them using the Whiff of Joy Sketch for this week with Willow and Baby as the image. The green DP paper is from Basic Grey and the striped paper is KaiserCraft. The roses are from I am Roses, I got a whole box of them (thanks Trace they are great and cheap!!).

One Layer Card!!!

Over at Anya Ink this week the challenge is to do a one layer card, argh!!! I looked at this and thought I have no hope of doing that and I guess technically I didn't succeed, I couldn't help myself, I had to add flowers :)

I have stamped the image, TT Princess Ava, straight onto the card and coloured her in and then used my scalloped circle nestie to cut out a window in the DP and layer it over the top. I still thought it looked a bit plain so I painted the card with Twinkling H2O, which turned out a little darker than I would have liked and my hands were not as steady as I would have liked but overall I don't mind the effect. I have added the sentiment in my own handwriting (which I loath to do but it needed something). Overall this is the hardest challenge I have attempted but I couldn't miss a week at Anya Ink. Thanks for the inspiration Fran, sorry I didn't carry it out all that great!

Mojo running late!!

I have been pretty busy at work with the rice over the last week, which has been fantastic but has left little time for card making :( I did do this card by the deadline of the Mojo #120 but never got around to taking a photo of it!

The papers are Kaisercraft and the brads are also. I have had Henry the mouse (Whiff of Joy) for a little while now and was dying to try it out. I used the blender copic for the first time - blending the grey across Henry's belly. I think it worked out pretty well. I had to add real sprinkles to finish it off and now I am waiting to see if the ants come in and try to take them!!

Have a great week, we are finally enjoying cooler weather here, 5 days in a row above 40oC was enough!!

Anya All Grown Up

The challenge at Anya Ink this week was a colour challenge of Black, White and one other colour. Well I just immediately thought red but when I started looking through my supplies I didn't have as much in this colour scheme as I though. I then came across this paper which was titled Colour me Pink. I am not sure who it was made by as I had chopped that part off!!

I always need to think of someone I know to inspire me to make a card and this one is for a friends daughter who is turning 13 this year. I left the middle blank in case I change my mind. The image is from the Miss Anya Dressy range which was stamped for me by Trace. I have coloured it with pencil as she stamped this for me before I had my copics so it pays to be safe rather than sorry. I will also enter this into the Anyone For Anya? Anything goes challenge for the week.

Daydreaming with Daisy

I absolutely adore this image from Sugar Nellie - Daisy. I have had it for a little while now but with the Christmas rush hadn't had a chance to ink her. And of all things I did her with the copics!! I thought she would be way too hard but I actually quite enjoyed colouring her in. I must admit I messed up with the skin, I had three shades, the lighter being E00 and I went back over it with what I though was the E00 to blend but really it was the E21. Anyway her skin just looks a little darker.

I have done this card for the Everybody Art Challenge for this week - favourite colour combinations and mine would have to be Pink and Aqua. I have used the sketch from Stamp with Fun Challenge 40, a sketch by Bea. The papers came for Koko Vanilla Designs which have some nice little card making kits.

Last but not least this card was made for a good friend for her birthday, here's wishing her a Very Happy Day!!

New Copics for CCT #93

I have finally plucked up the courage to try out my new copic markers that I got for Christmas. I watched a couple of tutorials and checked out the Whiff of Joy Inspirational and Tutorial blog before I was even game enough to try.

So this is my very first try, my practice run!! I received Copic Ciao's the 36setA and as soon as I started doing this I decided I need more. I just found that I didn't have enough of the same colours to blend in for the shading. So I guess I'll have to leave hints everywhere that I need some more for Valentine's Day and my Birthday, which is soon after!!

I have made this card for my sister-in-law who is a lot more stylish than me and will probably wonder why I put a green handbag on Miss Anya but I quite like it anyway. I used the sketch from Cute Card Thursday Challenge 93 and mostly the supplies were from my stash.

I will keep trying with my Copics, there is a lot of improving to do but I was pretty happy with the result.

Just Magnolia for the Old Boy

I know, I know, you might be thinking that is a rude title but it is for my Grandfather who is turning 84 so I think he would be flattered to be called an old Boy and not an old Man!! I am not very good at males cards but my new year resolution is to try harder to make great Boys cards. When I saw the Just Magnolia sketch for the fortnight, Week 38, I was in a busy rush doing Christmas cards and didn't give it a second thought, however now I have been thinking birthday cards and I think this sketch is excellent for male cards, gives them a little extra.

The Edwin is a stamp that a friend stamped for me and I must admit I looked at it and thought I will never use that! Then I started to think about altering stamps and thought 'Why don't I cut the wings off?'. I think it lends itself a little better to the older, more conservative male like this and I love how the card turned out. What do you think? Don't get me wrong, I love the Magnolias as they are but I tested it out on my hubby and he said it looked a little off!!

Mojo for the 1st

This month I have quite a few birthdays to make cards for so I am starting now. My niece is turning 1 this month so I used my Mo Manning image 1st Birthday Girl and used the sketch challenge from Mojo Sketch Challenge 119 for this week.

I used Basic Grey DP Urban Prairie Petticoat and Boutiful and Imaginisce Twitterpated Critter Chatter paper. I must admit I was a little disappointed with the end result of this card. The lettering got lost in the paper!! Anyway I am sure she will like it all the same.

Silly Season

Hi, I hope you all have enjoyed Christmas and time with family and friends. I love Christmas but do look forward to the silly season ending. It just seems to mean so much travelling for us and although it is great to catch up with everybody it would be better if it was over a month instead of a week!! The girls enjoyed it all though and seemed to cope okay with it all.

I did this Christmas card for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge 11 - All white and then forgot to post it but have just realised that I can still enter it. So here it is. I actually liked this one and the ease of making it so much that I made 4 of them, cheating a little I know but I was running out of time. I love this image of Michael.

Twas the night before Christmas

Hi, just a quick post as I am off to 2 Christmas parties!! I can image how ratty the girls will be by about 9pm tonight.

Here are some more Christmas cards I did using images from Mo Manning. This one is called 'Not even a mouse' so I thought it just needed the 'Twas the night before Christmas' poem. I just realised that I didn't put the author on it anywhere but I am sure nobody will think I wrote it! The background paper is from Magnolia Down Under, it is the So Jolly collection and I used my Square Scalloped nesties to cut the poem out and really there is not much more to them. I think the poem and the image make the card, don't you?

Anya Ink #11 Acetate

Still busy making Christmas cards. I only hope that everybody gets their cards from me before Christmas. I usually write Happy New Year so I have covered myself a little!!

This weeks challenge at Anya Ink was to use Acetate. I must say I love using acetate on cards as a window to the sentiment inside so I used Santa Ian and Mrs Clause Anya and the sentiment inside is a Magnolia -POST Holly from Magnolia Down Under. Had fun doing these now must get back to making more Christmas cards, then I will have to start making Christmas tags!!

Got my Mojo with Mo

Have been busy trying to get some more Christmas cards done. I have done 7 in the past two days but still have a long way to go. Hopefully ones I do on the weekend will still get to there destination in time!!

Here are two that I did yesterday. I used a sketch by Mo Manning - Christmas Fairy Holly. She is just beautiful and I have used her in a couple of other cards I will show you later. The card layout was from Mojo Monday Card Challenges, Mojo Turns 100 August 18th sketch. These are both fairly simple cards but I wanted a few cards to go through as the standard 50c stamp size LOL :). I am loving Mo Manning digital stamps at the moment and I am busy making cards with Not even a Mouse and Guardian Angel Micheal too.

A Ballet slipper for Anya Ink #10

When I saw that Anya Ink had the challenge out this week to create an odd shape card I immediately thought of Ballet Slippers for my daughter 4th birthday. She just started Ballet this year and for her birthday we have bought her a pink ballet leotard and shirt, alas it has not arrived in time!!

I used a template from winkhandmade.etsy.com and the paper is from Fancy Pants Dancing girl series, the ballet and on stage papers. I added a little purple Twinkling H2O, which you cannot really see in the photo but it does make it sparkle. The Ballet Anya just finished it off and I thought she was too cute to use only once so I put her in the inside as well!!

Unfortunately due to having to hide this card from Trin and making it when she wasn't around and cooking all day today my post is once again past the deadline but I thought I would post it anyway as it is pretty cute don't you think??
