Tilda the shepherd

The challenge for this week at Magnolia Down Down Under is to use Black, White/Cream and one other colour. I have chosen to use Tilda the Shepherd and to use red as the extra colour. Christmas Stampin' all Year Long has the challenge of Paper Piecing which I have used for Tilda's dress.

I must say I like the finished result of the card, EXCEPT for the colouring. I am hopeless when it comes to using black. I don't mind her hair but the shoes look terrible!! I haven't put a sentiment on the card yet as I think it could be used for a few different things. Every time I look at it I start sing Psalm 23 but I think most people associate this with funerals so I didn't add that. What do you think?

I agree with Kellie - your colouring is fabulous! And re the sentiment - leave it until you know who you're giving the card too - and for what occasion - you'll find the sentiment to fit then...
Thanx for joining us at MDUC
